About This Project

The room was packed wall-to-wall with portable ultra-low temperature freezers, each running at -80°C and throwing out significant heat as a result. The challenge was to add enough cooling capacity to keep the ambient temperature stable without interfering with the freezers themselves. Our engineers selected and installed a split system sized for the unusual heat load, routing all pipework and cabling carefully through the confined space. Every unit was tested under full load before sign-off. An unusual project that demanded a good understanding of refrigeration and a methodical approach.
